What is WSET?

The Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) is an awarding body devoted to the development and delivery of qualifications and courses in wines and spirits. The Trust was established in the United Kingdom in 1969, and has since grown to become the global industry leader in wine and spirit certifications. WSET is currently the largest global provider of wine, spirits, and sake qualifications. The Trust is an independent, non-profit organization, operating through a network of over 700 Approved Program Providers (APPs), in more than 70 countries, and more than 15 languages.

WSET is committed to delivering qualifications to the highest standard. All course providers (APPs) must meet rigorous approval standards and on-going monitoring requirements. In addition, WSET works closely with the industry to ensure their qualifications and educational programs are job-relevant.
