Online Courses
Looking for a more flexible option for wine education? Our online class offerings allow you to complete the material on a schedule that works best for you. You will cover the same material as the in-person class, just in an online format. You will also receive access to the WSET Online Classroom. The Online Classroom allows you to interact with your fellow students through forums, all under the guidance of a WSET educator. We currently offer WSET Level 1 Award in Wines, WSET Level 2 Award in Wines, and WSET Level 3 Award in Wines online.
Online courses have fixed beginning and ending dates, and the exam will be proctored. Exams can be taken in-person in Las Vegas, or online (Levels 1 and 2 only). All Level 3 exams must be taken in-person in Las Vegas. In-person exam times are listed on the corresponding course pages. Online test date options will be coordinated you after registration, at a time and date of your choosing.

About WSET Level 1 Online
WSET's Level 1 course is perfect for students with little to no prior knowledge of wines. This course is particularly helpful for those students working in food and beverage who would like to obtain a foundation of wine knowledge. This class is also well-suited for enthusiasts looking to obtain basic wine knowledge, front-line retail or hospitality workers, or anyone looking to learn about wines professionally.
During this course students will explore the main types and styles of wine through sight, smell, and taste, while also gaining the basic skills to describe wine accurately, and make food and wine pairings.
About WSET Level 2 Online
WSET's Level 2 course is perfect for students looking to establish a core understanding of wines. This beginner to intermediate level is particularly helpful for those students working in the industry or wine and spirits enthusiasts seeking to expand their knowledge.
During this course students will explore the major grape varieties and important wine regions from in which they are grown. Students will learn the styles of wines produced from these grapes, as well as classification and labelling terminology.
About WSET Level 3 Online
The WSET Level 3 Award in Wines course is an advanced wine course suited for industry professionals working in hospitality, wholesale, and retail, or wine enthusiasts looking to gain an in-depth understanding of wines. Students will gain detailed knowledge regarding factors that influence the quality, style and price of wines around the world. This course provides detailed coverage of grape growing and wine making. Students will also learn to assess wine accurately, and be able to explain the factors contributing to different wine price points.
